Back at it again!

Ok, I'm trying... give me some credit!
Back in July, Taylor had a week and a half trip to New Jersey with her friend Ellen.  It was her first real trip away and I think she had a blast considering she called to stay longer!  Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from their trip but a radnom one or two from a text.  Oh well, maybe next time.

Also in July, Taylor had her friend Chloe come to Lake Anna for the first time.  We were so excited to have Chloe with us!  Yeah what a great weekend.

Oh Jovie, how hot it was. Good thing you had shade and pletny of water!  She was barking at the in ground sprinkler, wish she knew it was a good sprinkler.  I should've videoed it but oh well!

July was busy but we were on break from Cheer so we were able to spend lots of time at the lake but we also had some time at nana and pop pop's pool with the kids.  Kayla had fun on the catepillar!

What a ham Dylan is!

Austin was a rock star off the diving board!

Here we go, August is exploding with Cheer!  Off to camp we go, UCA Camp that is.  The All Stars participated in the UCA Camp at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg.  I was slightly overwhelmed with the place and it was a little clostrofobic; a very contained environment.  Although the girls had a blast!  They came home with an invitation to participate int he Capital one Bowl in Orlando over New Years, 1 st place in Dance, and 1st place in Cheer.  Please note they beat out some freshman squads, our youngest cheerleader in the group is in 3rd grade!

August; To Be Continued.....

Wow! What a hectic few months

Well, i have no excuses anymore.  I have just been way to busy to keep up on the blog.  But I now realize i need to get my act together and get a move on!  So here we go!

Had a great time at the lake memorial day weekend.  Thanks to Lauren and Ellen for joining us!

In May I headed to St. Simon's Island (Sea Island) Georgia for Kathy and Chris' wedding.  The Cloister is a beautiful hotel/resort!  It was short but the trip was great, what a nice wedding couldn't ask for better weather or a better band, they rocked!

Rehearsal Dinner

Wedding

Joey definitely loved the band!

Taylor graduated from Elementary School back in June so here's a quick pic of her outfit!

Thanks to Francis, Kayla and Dylan who made it to the ceremony.

Wouldn't be complete without a graduation celebration!  Thanks to all the friends and family who came to celebrate.

Time to work on some fundraising for the All Star squad;  they had a great time at the car wash!

We had a nice July 4th at the lake.  Thanks to Adam, Kristine, Kasey and Kyle for joining us.

Off early in the morning to the City of Fairfax Parade for the All Stars participation in the Parade.  They worked so hard and had a great routine - challenging while you walk :-)
Received a 3rd Place award - congrats to them!

That's it for now.  I'll try to post again tomorrow!  But atleast we made it to July!

Still catching up

Well, I'm still trying to catch up, hopefully that will be sooner than later.  I totally forgot a key bit of information in my last post.  During Taylor's season ending pep rally there was an opportunity to try out for the All Stars, a special performance squad; she made it!  So Taylor is cheering regular seasons and also cheering for special events, etc.  she is very excited to grow as a cheerleader.   Hereis a picture of her fundraising back in May, sorry its a distant picture.

I'm obviously outta order but oh well who cares.... taylor turned 12 back in april so here is a picture of her and a few friends from her sleepover.

pictures of Dylan and Kayla with Taylor on Mothers Day.

thank you to my brother who made us a brunch extravaganza!  He was definitely going for some bonus points.

Wow, I'm a slacker!

Well, I have obviously been a slacker on this blog so I will get caught up on the happenings with us as fast as possible.  First On March 5th I became an auntie to my nephew Dylan Michael Fick.  Here are some hospital pictures and pictures from his first week!

Then we continue to Taylor's end of season Cheer Pep Rally with SYC, her basketball team finished 3rd place in their age, so I think the girls did a great job cheering the boys to a 3rd place victory!  I coached the girls this season due to lack of volunteers and too many girls signed up so it was an experience to say the least but the girls did amazing.  here is a clip of their routine for the pep rally.  the very first dance Taylor created with a little tweeking help from mom ;-)  There were many girls who were new to cheerleading and I think the girls did an amazing job!

I can't seem to directly post any videos :(
Spring sports started and Taylor wanted to try something new so she started Volleyball, she had a friend play as well and I think she had a blast!  Something she would like to continue.  Don't worry, she's still dancing since age 4!  Here is her very first serve.

Until next time.......
